Tierra Group performed a third-party peer review of a Waste Rock Storage Facility (WRSF) design at Klondex Mines’ (Klondex) Hollister Mine in northern Nevada. The WRSF, as designed, involved lining the mine’s existing West Pit to create a lined facility for placement of the mine’s waste rock. Tierra Group completed the peer review identifying potential gaps in the design and reporting to meet permitting requirements established by the State of Nevada. Tierra Group provided Klondex with design modification recommendations which Tierra Group believes will reduce the overall cost of the project, facilitate the construction process, and make the facility easier to operate and monitor.
